How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Cauldron Familiar.
2. Activate Cauldron Familiar by sacrificing a Food, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Cauldron Familiar enters the battlefield, it and Samwise triggers.
4. Resolve the Cauldron Familiar trigger, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain one life.
5. Resolve the Samwise trigger, creating a Food token.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop is centered around Cauldron Familiar constantly draining your opponents while fuel is endlessly recycled. Samwise Gamgee provides the crucial engine by generating a Food token every time the cat re-enters, which in turn can be sacrificed to bring the Familiar right back. Meanwhile, Umbral Collar Zealot acts as a versatile sacrifice outlet that not only helps grease the wheels of the loop, but also lets you surveil 1 with every activation to filter your draws.
