How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Crimson Kobolds, adding CC.
2. When Crimson Kobolds dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, choose not to pay for the trigger.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ruxa, adding CC.
4. When Ruxa dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Ruxa from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
5. When Ruxa enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, returning Crimson Kobolds to your hand from your graveyard.
6. Cast Crimson Kobolds by paying 0.
7. Repeat.

This looping engine works by cycling Ruxa, Patient Professor and Crimson Kobolds through the graveyard to continuously generate mana and triggers. Ashnod's Altar provides the sacrifice outlet needed to fuel Nim Deathmantle's resurrection ability while simultaneously generating the four mana required to pay for it. As Ruxa, Patient Professor repeatedly enters the battlefield, its triggered ability plucks Crimson Kobolds right back out of the graveyard so you can recast the free creature for {0} and restart the cycle.
