How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Crimson Kobolds.
  2. Cast Crimson Kobolds from your graveyard by paying 0. It will not enter with a finality counter on it due to Solemnity.
  3. Repeat.
  4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the additional creature, adding one mana of any color.
  5. Cast the creature from your graveyard by paying its mana cost. It will not enter with a finality counter on it due to Solemnity.
  6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Leonardo, Sewer Samurai's ability to let you cast creature spells with power or toughness 1 or less directly from your graveyard during your turn. By targeting Crimson Kobolds—whose zero-mana cost makes them the ultimate recursive fuel—you can sacrifice them to Phyrexian Altar for any color of mana. Normally, Leonardo would saddle these resurrected creatures with finality counters to exile them upon death, but Solemnity acts as an absolute shield that prevents any counters from ever being placed on your permanents. This lets the Kobolds flow endlessly back and forth between the graveyard and the battlefield, generating infinite colored mana, sacrifice triggers, and storm count.
