How it works

1. Cast the creature with MV>=4 for its blitz cost by paying 0.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature.
3. When the creature dies, it and Mortuary trigger.
4. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting it from your graveyard on top of your library.
5. Resolve the creature's trigger, causing you to draw it from the top of your library.
6. Resolve the Ashnod's Altar ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. Repeat.

This cunning loop turns Henzie "Toolbox" Torre's ability to give large creatures blitz into an infinite engine by leveraging the commander tax reduction to drop the blitz cost to zero. Once your creature is on the battlefield, Ashnod's Altar provides the sacrifice outlet to generate colorless mana while instantly triggering Mortuary, which neatly recycles the creature back to the top of your library. From there, the card drawn from the creature's own blitz death trigger puts it right back in your hand, ready to be recast for free and repeat the cycle endlessly.
