How it works
- Cast Hada Freeblade by paying W/P.
- Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
- Whenever Hada Freeblade enters the battlefield, it and Ondu Cleric trigger.
- Resolve the Hada Freeblade trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Resolve the Ondu Cleric trigger, causing you to gain at least two life.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Soldier token, adding .
- Activate Sword of the Realms by paying 1, attaching it to Hada Freeblade.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Hada Freeblade, adding 1.
- When Hada Freeblade dies, Sword of the Realms triggers, returning Hada Freeblade from your graveyard to your hand.
- Repeat.
This clever loop begins by casting Hada Freeblade for a heavily discounted rate, thanks to the cost-reduction and life-payment ability of Defiler of Faith. Each time you cast that white permanent, the Defiler steps in to reward you with a 1/1 Soldier creature token while the newly arrived Ally triggers Ondu Cleric to steadily pad your life total. You can then sacrifice that token to Phyrexian Altar for mana, and use Sword of the Realms—whose back half is a natural fit here—to equip Hada Freeblade before feeding it to the Altar as well. Finally, the Sword's own death-trigger swoops in to bounce Hada Freeblade right back to your hand, allowing you to redeploy the entire engine alongside Halvar, God of Battle's passive battlefield presence for an unstoppable chain of entries, sacrifices, and life gain.
