How it works

1. Cast Cliffside Lookout by paying W/P.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. Whenever Cliffside Lookout enters the battlefield, it and Ondu Cleric triggers, causing you to gain at least two life.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing Cliffside Lookout and the Soldier token, adding 1.
5. Whenever Cliffside Lookout dies, Sigil of the New Dawn triggers, causing you to pay 1 to return Cliffside Lookout from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Repeat.

This cunning loop relies on Defiler of Faith to slash the mana cost of your white permanent spells in exchange for life, turning Cliffside Lookout into a free-to-cast proposition. As the Lookout repeatedly enters and leaves the battlefield, Ondu Cleric capitalizes on the revolving door of allies to continuously pad your life total, easily offsetting the life paid to the Defiler. Phyrexian Altar steps in to feed the machine, converting the Lookout and the tokens generated by Defiler of Faith into the exact mana needed to satisfy Sigil of the New Dawn's return-to-hand tax whenever Cliffside Lookout bites the dust.
