How it works

1. Activate Experiment Kraj using Scaled Herbalist's ability by tapping it, putting a land from your hand onto the battlefield.
2. If the land is mana-producing and enters the battlefield untapped, you may activate it by tapping it, adding at least 1.
3. Activate Experiment Kraj using Trench Behemoth's ability by returning the land from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Experiment Kraj.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Experiment Kraj into an ultimate engine by piggybacking on creatures carrying +1/+1 counters. With Scaled Herbalist's tap ability borrowed, you can continuously dump lands from your hand straight onto the battlefield to trigger any landfall abilities present. Meanwhile, Trench Behemoth's activated ability lets you bounce that very same land right back to your hand to untap Experiment Kraj, fueling the cycle over and over again. The result is infinite land drops and endless mana from any lands that enter untapped, turning a handful of unassuming creatures into a massive advantage.
