How it works

1. Cast Delif's Cone by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Delif's Cone by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Delif's Cone from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on a recursive loop of artifact recycling and historic spellcasting to mill out opponents in formats like commander, legacy, oathbreaker, and vintage. Whenever you recast the humble Delif's Cone, it triggers Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle to fish Scrap Trawler right back out of your graveyard. Sacrificing Scrap Trawler to Altar of Dementia triggers its own ability, allowing you to pull Delif's Cone back to your hand so the whole cycle can begin anew.
