How it works

1. Activate Lightning Greaves' equip ability by paying 0, targeting Alena.
2. Monk Gyatso triggers, airbending Alena.
3. The Lightning Greaves ability fizzles due to no longer having a legal target.
4. Cast Alena from exile by paying 2.
5. Activate Lightning Greaves' equip ability by paying 0, targeting Alena.
6. Monk Gyatso triggers. Choose not to airbend Alena.
7. Resolve Lightning Greaves' ability, attaching it to Alena.
8. Activate Alena by tapping it, adding at least .
9. Activate Lightning Greaves' equip ability by paying 0, attaching it to Monk Gyatso.
10. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Monk Gyatso's protective airbending trigger into an engine by using Lightning Greaves to repeatedly target Alena, Kessig Trapper. Because Lightning Greaves grants shroud, moving it onto Alena causes Monk Gyatso to trigger; responding by casting Alena from exile for just {2} resets her entrance, allowing her to tap for a massive influx of red mana thanks to her own power. By finally letting the Greaves resolve and attach to Alena—or shifting them over to Monk Gyatso when you need a break—you keep the cascade going indefinitely.
