How it works

1. Activate Lightning Greaves's equip ability by paying 0, targeting another nontoken creature you control.
2. Monk Gyatso triggers, airbending the targeted creature.
3. The Lightning Greaves ability fizzles due to no longer having a legal target.
4. Cast the creature from exile by paying 0 due to Heartless Summoning.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the zero-cost targeting of Lightning Greaves into a self-contained engine by weaponizing Monk Gyatso’s triggered ability to repeatedly exile and reset a creature. Because Lightning Greaves grants shroud, the attempt to equip it to another creature immediately triggers Monk Gyatso to airbend that target into exile, causing the equip ability to fizzle while successfully clearing the way. Thanks to Heartless Summoning reducing creature spell costs by {2}, that exiled creature can then be cast right back onto the battlefield for free, triggering its entry all over again.
