How it works

1. Activate Perilous Forays by paying 1 and sacrificing a creature you control, searching your library for a land card with a basic land type and putting it on the battlefield untapped due to Horizon Explorer.
2. When the land enters the battlefield, Felidar Retreat triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate the land by tapping it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a simple sacrifice outlet into an engine that strips basic-typed lands straight from your library. By utilizing Perilous Forays, you sacrifice a creature to fetch a typed land, which immediately enters the battlefield untapped thanks to Horizon Explorer's static ability. That arriving land triggers Felidar Retreat's landfall ability to generate a fresh token, giving you a brand-new creature to feed right back into Perilous Forays.
