How it works

1. Activate Perilous Forays by paying 1 and sacrificing a creature you control, searching your library for a land card with a basic land type and putting it on the battlefield untapped due to Horizon Explorer.
2. When the land enters the battlefield, each Scute Swarm you control triggers, creating that many creature tokens.
3. Activate the land by tapping it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a modest sacrifice into a roaring tide of biomass by chaining together triggered and activated abilities. You use Perilous Forays to trade a creature for a searched land, which immediately enters untapped thanks to Horizon Explorer's passive aura, ensuring you always have the mana to keep paying the search cost. Every time that land arrives, Scute Swarm triggers to flood the board with growing swarms of copies, which then become fresh fodder to feed right back into Perilous Forays.
