How it works

1. Activate Perilous Forays by paying 1 and sacrificing a creature you control, searching your library for a land card with a basic land type and putting it on the battlefield untapped due to Horizon Explorer.
2. When the land enters the battlefield, Sporemound triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate the land by tapping it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop lets you strip every single basic-typed land straight out of your library, all by feeding a single creature into Perilous Forays. The sacrifice is immediately replaced thanks to Sporemound, which triggers its landfall ability every time a new land hits the field to spawn a fresh Saproling token for the next iteration. Meanwhile, Horizon Explorer pulls double duty: its static ability ensures your newly fetched lands enter untapped so they can immediately help fund the next activation, while its attack trigger provides a convenient spare token to kick off the whole chain.
