How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing it.
2. When Carrion Feeder dies, Mortuary and Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Carrion Feeder from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
6. Cast Carrion Feeder from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns Carrion Feeder into an endlessly recyclable sacrifice engine by letting Mortuary redirect it straight from the graveyard to the top of your library whenever it dies. Gwenom, Remorseless enables you to recast the creature directly from the top of your library for a tiny life payment instead of its mana cost, a graveyard-skirting trick safely unhindered by Ashes of the Abhorrent since you are playing the card from your library rather than the graveyard. Finally, Ashes of the Abhorrent's secondary triggered ability turns every iteration of this sacrifice cycle into a net-neutral or positive lifegain loop that easily offsets the life paid to Gwenom, Remorseless.
