How it works

1. Activate Ayara by tapping it and sacrificing another creature you control.
2. When the creature dies, Ayara triggers, untapping itself.
3. Resolve the Ayara ability from step 1, causing you to draw a card.
4. The Locust God triggers, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
5. Repeat.

By turning every creature on the battlefield black with Darkest Hour, we establish a recursive loop centered around Ayara, First of Locthwain equipped with a Thornbite Staff. When you tap Ayara to sacrifice a creature to her activated ability, Thornbite Staff sees that death and immediately untaps her. Meanwhile, drawing a card from Ayara's sacrifice triggers The Locust God to spawn a 1/1 flying Insect token. Because Darkest Hour ensures that newly created token is black, Ayara's entry triggers both herself and the Staff's auto-attach ability, getting the equipment right back onto Ayara so you can repeat the process indefinitely for an unstoppable cascade of card draw, drains, and insect tokens.
