How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Boonweaver Giant, adding .
2. When Boonweaver Giant dies as a legendary creature due to In Bolas's Clutches, Ratadrabik of Urborg triggers, creating a token copy of Boonweaver Giant that is a 2/2 Zombie in addition to its other types.
3. When the Boonweaver Giant token enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning In Bolas's Clutches from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the token.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns any giant giant into a self-sustaining mana engine by turning it legendary and looping it through the graveyard. Ratadrabik of Urborg acts as the anchor, watching for legendary deaths and replacing them with nonlegendary zombie copies, while In Bolas's Clutches pulls double duty by both making Boonweaver Giant legendary and immediately jumping back onto it from the graveyard whenever the giant reappears. Finally, Thermopod provides the sacrificial outlet and converts each iteration of this tragic cycle into a steady stream of red mana.
