How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Boonweaver Giant, adding .
2. When Boonweaver Giant dies, Mortuary and Pattern of Rebirth trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Boonweaver Giant on the bottom of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Pattern of Rebirth trigger, putting Boonweaver Giant from your library onto the battlefield.
5. When Boonweaver Giant enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Pattern of Rebirth from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Boonweaver Giant.
6. Repeat.

This loop relies on an endlessly recurring cycle of sacrifice and rebirth, turning Boonweaver Giant into an infinite engine. When you sacrifice the Giant to Thermopod for red mana, Mortuary catches it on its way to the graveyard and places it right back onto your library, while Pattern of Rebirth triggers to tutor it directly back onto the battlefield. As Boonweaver Giant re-enters, its own ability lets you pull Pattern of Rebirth straight out of your graveyard and reattach it to the Giant, resetting the whole apparatus.
