How it works

1. Activate Deathbringer Thoctar by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, targeting any creature an opponent controls.
2. Horobi triggers, destroying the targeted creature.
3. When the creature dies, Deathbringer Thoctar triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
4. Repeat as desired.
5. You may also repeat this combo whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This lethal loop centers around Horobi, Death's Wail, whose chilling static ability transforms any targeted spell or ability into an instant-kill removal spell for creatures. By paying the cost to activate Deathbringer Thoctar's ping ability, you target an opponent's creature, which immediately triggers Horobi to destroy it. Because Deathbringer Thoctar gains a +1/+1 counter whenever another creature dies, the demise of the targeted creature replenishes the exact resource you just spent, allowing you to repeat this devastating process indefinitely to lock down the board and wipe out opposing creatures as fast as they arrive.
