How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a token copy of Kodama of the East Tree that isn't legendary.
2. Play Selesnya Sanctuary.
3. Kodama of the East Tree, the Kodama of the East Tree token, and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
4. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree token's trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand.
6. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield.
7. The Kodama of the East Tree token and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
8. Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand.
9. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree token's trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield.
10. Kodama of the East Tree and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
11. Repeat from step 5.
12. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of Kodama of the East Tree with haste.
13. Play Selesnya Sanctuary.
14. Both Kodama of the East Trees and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
15. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
16. Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
17. Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary from your hand onto the battlefield.
18. The token Kodama of the East Tree and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
19. Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
20. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary from your hand onto the battlefield.
21. The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
22. Repeat from step 5.

This clever loop multiplies your triggers by taking advantage of multiple copies of Kodama of the East Tree working in tandem. Once Helm of the Host equips and manufactures a nonlegendary token copy of the legendary spirit, you have the double-trigger engine needed to continuously deploy Selesnya Sanctuary. Because Selesnya Sanctuary naturally bounces itself back to your hand upon entering the battlefield, the overlapping triggers from your Kodama of the East Tree pair allow you to alternate putting it back into play indefinitely, yielding an endless stream of landfall triggers.
