Kodama of the East Tree + Selesnya Sanctuary + Sakashima of a Thousand Faces
Kodama of the East Tree
Selesnya Sanctuary
Sakashima of a Thousand Faces
Infinite landfall triggers
How it works
Play Selesnya Sanctuary.
Kodama of the East Tree, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
Resolve the Sakashima of a Thousand Faces trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand.
Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield.
Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand.
Resolve the Sakashima of a Thousand Faces token's trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield.
Kodama of the East Tree and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger.
Repeat from step 5.
This clever loop relies on the way Kodama of the East Tree and a clone effect can continually pull permanents back into play. By having Sakashima of a Thousand Faces enter as a copy of Kodama of the East Tree, you gain a second instance of that triggered ability, while Sakashima of a Thousand Faces's passive ability also conveniently turns off the legend rule so your copies can coexist peacefully. Whenever you play Selesnya Sanctuary, its bounce-to-hand drawback is subverted; it triggers itself back to your hand while simultaneously satisfying the mana value requirements to be cheated back onto the battlefield by the stacked Kodama triggers. Repeating this interaction generates infinite landfall triggers to fuel whatever payoff you have waiting.
