How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Propeller Pioneer.
2. When Propeller Pioneer dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Propeller Pioneer enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop revolves around Phantom Train acting as the sacrificial engine, feeding on Propeller Pioneer to continually trigger death and enters-the-battlefield events while stacking up infinite +1/+1 counters. The magic truly comes together thanks to the front side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight; its static ability grants your creature spells convoke, but more importantly, when it transforms into its reverse side, it bestows persist upon your other nontoken creatures. Because Propeller Pioneer's fabricate 1 ability allows it to enter with a +1/+1 counter that immediately cancels out the -1/-1 counter from persist, the Pioneer can die and return to the battlefield indefinitely.
