How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ministrant of Obligation, adding CC.
2. When Ministrant of Obligation dies, its afterlife ability triggers, creating two 1/1 Spirit creature tokens.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the Spirits, adding CCCC.
4. Activate Signpost Scarecrow by paying 2, adding .
5. Activate Kenrith's fifth ability by paying 4, returning Ministrant of Obligation to the battlefield from your graveyard.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Ministrant of Obligation as an endless engine for sacrifices, with Ashnod's Altar providing both the graveyard trip and more than enough colorless mana to fund the operation. Signpost Scarecrow acts as a crucial color-filtering hub, turning that raw colorless mana into the black mana required by Kenrith, the Returned King. Kenrith then uses that mana to pull Ministrant of Obligation right back out of the graveyard and onto the battlefield, restarting the whole cycle for infinite deaths, sacrifices, and token production.
