How it works

1. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EE, sacrificing a nontoken creature with mana value 4 or less and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Dockside Extortionist from your graveyard to the battlefield.
2. When Dockside Extortionist enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating at least four Treasure tokens.
3. Activate four Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
4. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1.
5. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
6. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying at most EEEE, sacrificing Dockside Extortionist and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature with mana value 4 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1.
8. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
9. Repeat.
10. If opponents control five or more artifacts and/or enchantments, this combo nets infinite Treasure tokens and colored mana.
11. If the creature sacrificed has mana value 3 or less, this combo nets infinite energy counters.

This loop exploits the massive mana-producing potential of Dockside Extortionist to endlessly recycle Chthonian Nightmare in and out of your hand. Each time Chthonian Nightmare re-enters the battlefield, its energy-generating trigger refills your supply, allowing you to pay its cost, bounce it, and cheat Dockside Extortionist straight back from the graveyard. As long as your opponents control enough artifacts and enchantments to fund the cycle, the Treasures you create will more than pay to recast the enchantment while churning out an endless storm of enters-the-battlefield and sacrifice triggers.
