How it works

1. Activate Timestream Navigator by paying 2, tapping and putting it on the bottom of your library, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
2. At the beginning of your end step, Conjurer's Closet triggers, blinking Forerunner of the Coalition.
3. Forerunner of the Coalition enters, triggering its first ability, causing you to search your library for Timestream Navigator and put it on top of your library.
4. Move to your next turn, drawing Timestream Navigator during your draw phase.
5. Cast Timestream Navigator by paying 1.
6. Timestream Navigator enters the battlefield, triggering Forerunner of the Coalition's second ability, causing each opponent to lose 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This brilliant loop takes advantage of the enduring presence of Conjurer's Closet, which reliably blinks your board at each end step to repeatedly reset Forerunner of the Coalition. Once you have earned the city's blessing, Timestream Navigator can take infinite extra turns by bottoming itself, but you need a way to find it again—which is precisely where Forerunner of the Coalition's enters-the-battlefield tutor steps in to stack the Navigator back on top of your library. As a delightful bonus, every time you recast the Pirate to restart the cycle, Forerunner of the Coalition's secondary drain ability triggers to steadily sap the life right out of your opponents.
