How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This explosive loop relies on Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to turn a steady stream of damage into a cascade of metallic wealth, further supercharged by Elspeth, Storm Slayer doubling every single Treasure token you create. To get the engine started, Amorphous Axe steps in as a clever enabler, bestowing the Pirate creature type onto Magmaw so its fiery output triggers Malcolm's ability. Once Magmaw is officially a Pirate, you can sacrifice one of those doubled Treasures to fuel its activation, dealing damage to an opponent, triggering Malcolm to create even more Treasure tokens than you started with, and netting infinite damage.
