How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista by paying 0 due to Planar Gate, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Walking Ballista.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Walking Ballista, adding CC.
4. When Walking Ballista dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Walking Ballista from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Planar Gate to discount the cost of creature spells, allowing Walking Ballista to be cast for zero mana so it enters the battlefield with a single +1/+1 counter. With Together Forever having previously marked the Construct with its protective ability, you can immediately feed Walking Ballista to Ashnod's Altar to generate colorless mana. The creature's death triggers Together Forever to return it straight to your hand, leaving you with extra mana and a repeating loop that fuels infinite damage, sacrifices, and storm count.
