How it works

1. Activate Grafted Wargear's equip ability by paying 0, targeting another nontoken creature you control.
2. Monk Gyatso triggers, airbending the targeted creature.
3. The Grafted Wargear ability fizzles due to no longer having a legal target.
4. Cast the creature from exile by paying 0 due to Planar Gate.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious engine turns the free {0} equip cost of Grafted Wargear into an endless loop of creature arrivals and departures. Whenever you shift the Equipment to a new target, Monk Gyatso swoops in to airbend that creature into exile—a clever trick that protects your creatures from harm while setting them up to return. Best of all, Planar Gate steps in to slash the re-casting cost of those exiled creatures down to a mere {2}, which is entirely negated when combined with the right cost reducers or just castable loops depending on your setup.
