How it works

  1. Cast Heaven Sent by paying U manaR mana.
  2. Widespread Thieving triggers, creating two Treasure artifact tokens.
  3. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding U manaR mana.
  4. Resolve Heaven Sent, choosing to have it enter the battlefield with three chapter counters on it due to its read ahead ability.
  5. Heaven Sent's third chapter ability triggers, dealing 1 damage to each opponent, and causing you to draw seven cards if an opponent has 0 or less life, or otherwise exile Heaven Sent with the ability to play it this turn.
  6. If Heaven Sent was exiled this way, repeat until Heaven Sent is not exiled.

This clever loop turns a modest Saga into an endless loop of damage and card draw by manipulating its chapter timeline with Barbara Wright: History Teacher. When you cast Heaven Sent, Barbara's read ahead ability lets the Saga instantly enter with three lore counters, immediately triggering its final chapter to deal damage. Meanwhile, Widespread Thieving watches you cast a multicolored spell and rewards you with Treasure tokens—doubled right out of the gate thanks to Mondrak, Glory Dominus—which easily fund the mana needed to replay the Saga. Because Heaven Sent's third chapter exiles itself and allows you to recast it that very turn, Widespread Thieving's payoff keeps triggering, feeding you infinite damage and a massive storm count until your opponents' life totals hit zero.
