How it works

1. Cast Diamond Lion by paying 2.
2. When Diamond Lion enters, Sai of the Shinobi triggers, attaching itself to Diamond Lion.
3. Activate Diamond Lion by tapping it, sacrificing it and discarding your hand, adding three mana of any color.
4. When Diamond Lion dies, Koll triggers, returning Diamond Lion from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop transforms Diamond Lion into an endlessly recurring mana source by taking advantage of its own artifact nature and equipment synergy. As soon as you cast Diamond Lion, Sai of the Shinobi steps in with its triggered ability to automatically gear up the cat, ensuring it is always equipped. When you crack the Diamond Lion for three mana, its death triggers Koll, the Forgemaster's static ability, which catches the creature as it hits the graveyard and bounces it straight back to your hand. Meanwhile, Maelstrom Wanderer comfortably sits in the background granting haste, though the true engine runs entirely on the recursive interplay between the Lion, the Sai, and Koll to generate infinite colored mana, death triggers, and storm count.
