How it works

1. Activate Emiel the Blessed by paying 3, blinking Alena.
2. Activate Alena by tapping it, adding at least .
3. Repeat.
4. Once you have infinite mana, you may blink any other creature(s) you control.

This clever pairing relies on a recursive loop of exile and return to generate an endless supply of red mana. By using Emiel the Blessed to repeatedly blink Alena, Kessig Trapper, you reset Alena's state so that tapping her for mana yields an ever-growing surplus of red energy, more than enough to cover Emiel's activation cost each time. Meanwhile, Maelstrom Wanderer quietly anchors the battlefield by granting haste to your creatures and bringing its own explosive double cascade to the table if cast from the command zone.
