How it works
Activate Yurlok of Scorch Thrash by paying 1 and tapping it, causing each player to add .
Activate Yurlok of Scorch Thrash using Pili-Pala's ability by paying 2 and untapping it, adding one mana of any color.
Repeat an arbitrarily large number of times.
It is strongly recommended to empty your mana pool using a mana sink before proceeding.
Move to your next step or phase, causing each player to lose life equal to the amount of unspent mana in their mana pool.
Each player whose mana pool contained an amount of mana equal to or greater than their life total loses the game due to having 0 or less life, which causes a draw if every player lost the game.
This loop weaponizes Yurlok of Scorch Thrash's unusual mana-drain ability by turning your opponents' unspent green, red, and black mana into lethal life loss. To generate the necessary untaps, Agatha's Soul Cauldron needs to exile Pili-Pala and place a +1/+1 counter on Yurlok of Scorch Thrash, granting the legendary Jund shaman Pili-Pala's untap ability. Since Agatha's Soul Cauldron also allows you to spend mana as though it were any color, you can continuously filter and infinitely repeat Pili-Pala's untap to fund Yurlok of Scorch Thrash's mana-producing tap ability. Once you stop and let the phase end, Yurlok of Scorch Thrash punishes everyone at the table for the floating mana they cannot spend, often resulting in a dramatic draw when all players lose their remaining life simultaneously.
