How it works

1. Activate Nemata's first ability by paying 2, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0 due to Puresteel Paladin, attaching it to the Saproling.
3. Activate the Saproling by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the seemingly modest Saproling tokens from Nemata, Grove Guardian into a self-sustaining mana engine. Thanks to Puresteel Paladin's metalcraft ability reducing equip costs to zero and Fervor giving your new tokens immediate haste, a newly spawned token can instantly pick up Lotus Ring. The Saproling then sacrifices itself to its own tapped ability for three green mana—more than enough to fund Nemata, Grove Guardian's creation cost and repeat the cycle indefinitely.
