How it works

  1. Declare Godo and the creature with Spellbinder attached as attackers.
  2. Godo's second ability triggers, causing you to untap it and all Samurai you control, and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
  3. Deal combat damage using the creature that has Spellbinder attached.
  4. Spellbinder triggers, causing you to copy a card exiled with it, and cast the copy without paying its mana cost.
  5. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Godo.
  6. When Godo enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, allowing you to search your library for an Equipment card and put it onto the battlefield.
  7. Resolve the spell cast in step 4.
  8. Repeat each combat phase.

This intricate loop gets rolling the moment Godo, Bandit Warlord charges into battle alongside a creature equipped with Spellbinder, granting you those crucial extra combat phases through Godo's untap trigger. When your equipped creature connects for combat damage, Spellbinder casts a free copy of its imprinted instant, which in turn triggers Displacer Kitten to blink Godo out of existence and right back in. This flicker resets Godo, Bandit Warlord so its entry trigger can pull every remaining Equipment card straight from your library onto the battlefield, ensuring Fervor is readily available to give your newly summoned forces immediate haste. By repeating this combat-and-blink sequence, you generate infinite combat phases, endless instant casts, and every single piece of metal your deck has to offer.
