How it works
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding CC.
When the creature dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers. Choose not to pay.
Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Xu-Ifit, adding CC.
When Xu-Ifit dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
Repeat.
This intricate assembly turns the graveyard into a revolving door by leveraging Ashnod's Altar as both an executioner and a mana generator, turning sacrifices into the exact fuel needed to keep the engine running. While Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist works from the shadows to pull fallen comrades back to the field, it is Nim Deathmantle that truly binds the loop together, constantly resurrecting its host when the altar claims it. Meanwhile, Fervor waits quietly in the wings, ensuring that any hasty reinforcements brought back by the loop are immediately ready to act if your strategy demands it.
