How it works

1. Sacrifice Roalesk to Ashnod's Altar generating two colorless, with Roalesk's death you proliferate twice, putting two more counters on Pentad Prism.
2. Remove those counters for two mana, use the other two mana from Ashnod's to return Roalesk to the battlefield using Nim Deathmantle.
3. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling tragedy, using Ashnod's Altar to turn Roalesk, Apex Hybrid into the fuel needed to power its own resurrection via Nim Deathmantle. Every time Roalesk hits the graveyard, its death trigger rewards you with a double dose of proliferation—which is where Pentad Prism shines, greedily collecting charge counters from those proliferations so you can strip them away for the mana required to pay the Deathmantle's revival cost. Because the Altar generates two colorless mana on the sacrifice, you only need to harvest two charge counters from the Prism to complete the exact four-mana payment needed to loop the Apex Hybrid indefinitely.
