How it works
- Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
- Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying 4, creating a token copy of Great Whale that is an artifact.
- When the Great Whale token enters, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
- Cast Skullwinder by paying its mana cost.
- When Skullwinder enters, it triggers, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
- Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
- Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying 4, creating a token copy of Skullwinder and the Great Whale token.
- When the Skullwinder and Great Whale tokens enter, they trigger.
- Resolve the Skullwinder token's trigger, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
- Resolve the Great Whale token's trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
- Repeat from step 6.
This elegant loop uses Saheeli's Artistry to repeatedly copy your heaviest hitters, leveraging the mana-positive entry of Great Whale to fund each iteration. While the Whale pays for the magic, Skullwinder acts as your persistent retriever, digging Saheeli's Artistry right back out of the graveyard every single time a copy enters the battlefield. By compounding these triggers over and over, you not only generate infinite mana and an army of artifact creatures, but you can also endlessly recycle any other instant or sorcery from your graveyard.
