How it works
Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying 4, creating a token copy of Great Whale that is an artifact.
When the Great Whale token enters, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
Cast Returned Pastcaller by paying its mana cost.
When Returned Pastcaller enters, it triggers, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying 4, creating a token copy of Returned Pastcaller and the Great Whale token.
When the Returned Pastcaller and Great Whale tokens enter, they trigger.
Resolve the Returned Pastcaller token's trigger, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
Resolve the Great Whale token's trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
Repeat from step 6.
This loop works by leveraging the massive mana-neutral footprint of Great Whale alongside the recursion prowess of Returned Pastcaller to steadily scale up your board state. By using Saheeli's Artistry to copy these creatures—and importantly, turning them into artifacts in the process—you can continually multiply your threats and resources. Each iteration untaps your lands to pay for the spell while pulling Saheeli's Artistry right back out of your graveyard, letting you exponentially compound your copies of both creatures until you control an overwhelming army of artifacts and creatures.
