How it works
At the beginning of your precombat main phase, There and Back Again triggers, putting a lore counter on it.
There and Back Again's third chapter ability triggers, creating a legendary 6/6 Smaug creature token and causing you to sacrifice There and Back Again.
Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a copy of the Smaug token.
Put either Smaug token into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
When the Smaug token dies, it triggers, creating fourteen Treasure tokens.
Activate two Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
Activate Ghired by paying 1, blinking it.
When Ghired enters the battlefield, Deadeye Navigator's soulbond ability triggers, repairing it and Ghired.
Repeat from step 3.
By advancing There and Back Again to its final chapter, you conjure the mighty Smaug, whose fiery demise yields fourteen glittering Treasure tokens when the legend rule claims a duplicate. Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds eagerly harnesses this wealth, turning its haste-granted tap ability into endless cloned dragon armies while funding its own resurgence through sacrifice. Meanwhile, the watchful eye of Deadeye Navigator pairs with Ghired via soulbond, allowing you to continually blink the human shaman with a fraction of the treasures' mana to refresh its tap ability and keep the cycle spinning.
