How it works
At the beginning of your precombat main phase, There and Back Again triggers, putting a lore counter on it.
There and Back Again's third chapter ability triggers, creating a legendary 6/6 Smaug creature token and causing you to sacrifice There and Back Again.
Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a copy of the Smaug token.
Put either Smaug token into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
When the Smaug token dies, it triggers, creating fourteen Treasure tokens.
Activate three Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 3.
Activate Sword of the Paruns by paying 3, untapping Ghired.
Repeat from step 3.
This explosive loop turns the final chapter of There and Back Again into an absolute dragon hoard by leveraging the activated copy ability granted by Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds. When Smaug enters the battlefield, Ghired taps to replicate the legendary dragon; state-based actions send one to the graveyard, triggering a massive payout of fourteen Treasure tokens. You can then channel that newly minted wealth through Sword of the Paruns to untap Ghired for a mere three mana, leaving you with a net gain of eleven Treasures each cycle and infinite death triggers.
