How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Woodfall Primus.
2. When Woodfall Primus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
3. When Woodfall Primus enters, it triggers, destroying a noncreature permanent.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns Shilgengar, Sire of Famine into an unstoppable recycling engine by using Woodfall Primus as perpetual fodder, which in turn generates a constant stream of Blood tokens while wiping out every noncreature permanent your opponents control. The crucial glue holding this together is Vizier of Remedies, whose replacement effect prevents Woodfall Primus from accumulating the -1/-1 counters that would normally shut down its persist ability. Because the Primus returns without counters every single time it dies, you can feed it back to Shilgengar's sacrifice ability indefinitely, dismantling the board and flooding your side with artifacts.
