How it works

1. Activate Breya's Apprentice by tapping it and sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability and Dross Scorpion trigger.
3. Resolve the Dross Scorpion trigger, untapping Breya's Apprentice.
4. Resolve the Lesser Masticore trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with no -1/-1 counters on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
5. Resolve the Breya's Apprentice ability, either giving target creature +2/+0 until end of turn, or exiling the top card of your library with the ability to play it until the end of your next turn.
6. Repeat.

This clever engine uses Breya's Apprentice to sacrifice Lesser Masticore, feeding an endless loop of artifact deaths that triggers Dross Scorpion to constantly untap the Apprentice. Normally, Lesser Masticore's persist ability would eventually shut down the loop by burdening it with a fatal -1/-1 counter, but Vizier of Remedies steps in as the alchemical catalyst to gracefully reduce that counter placement to zero. As the Masticore resurrects pristine over and over again—while its initial entry creates a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token to help grease the wheels—you generate infinite sacrifices and triggers to completely exile your library and sculpt the ultimate board state.
