How it works

2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a modest undead rat into an engine of endless growth. By feeding Lesser Masticore to Carrion Feeder, you trigger the Masticore's persist ability to return it to the battlefield, but Vizier of Remedies steps in to alter the math so that no pesky -1/-1 counters stick around to shut the recursion down. Because the Masticore comes back completely clean every single time, you can repeat the sacrifice indefinitely to stack infinite +1/+1 counters onto Carrion Feeder alongside endless entries, exits, and death triggers.
