4. Repeat.

When Twilight Shepherd goes to the graveyard via Altar of Dementia, its persist ability normally brings it back with a -1/-1 counter; however, Vizier of Remedies steps in to reduce that counter placement to zero, leaving the angel completely clean and ready to die again. Meanwhile, every time Twilight Shepherd enters the battlefield anew, its triggered ability catches all the cards sent to your graveyard from the battlefield *that turn*—including its own previous sacrifices—and returns them all safely to your hand.
