How it works

1. Activate Catalyst Elemental by sacrificing it.
2. When Catalyst Elemental dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
3. Repeat.

This looping marvel relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the night-side face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant your nontoken creatures persist, while Vizier of Remedies steps in to intercept their mechanical drawbacks by reducing incoming -1/-1 counters to zero. With that safety net established, you can repeatedly sacrifice Catalyst Elemental to its own activation to flood your pool with red mana. Because Vizier of Remedies ensures the returning Elemental has no counters to block a future trigger, its persist ability can fire over and over again to keep the engine spinning indefinitely.
