Whenever you need to clear the stack, you simply sacrifice the Archmage to Bloodflow Connoisseur; persist brings her right back with a clean slate, ready to counter another noncreature spell while simultaneously pumping the Connoisseur full of infinite +1/+1 counters. It is a wonderfully efficient way to lock down the board and dominate your opponents using sacrifice and death synergies.
