How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Lingering Tormentor.
2. When Lingering Tormentor dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
3. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on the clever interplay between persist and prevention: when you feed Lingering Tormentor to Bloodflow Connoisseur's sacrifice ability, its persist trigger normally returns it with a -1/-1 counter, but Vizier of Remedies steps in to reduce that replacement effect to zero counters. Because Lingering Tormentor returns completely clean of any -1/-1 counters, it can legally trigger persist all over again the next time it dies. Meanwhile, Bloodflow Connoisseur happily stockpiles an endless supply of +1/+1 counters as the fuel for this grim, repeating cycle.
