3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a persistent recursion into a devastating mill engine by exploiting a clever rules interaction. When you sacrifice Safehold Elite to Altar of Dementia, its persist trigger would normally return it with a -1/-1 counter, but Vizier of Remedies steps in to reduce that placement to zero counters. Because the creature returns completely clean, you can immediately sacrifice it again to repeat the process, milling your opponent out entirely while generating an endless stream of death, entry, and sacrifice triggers.
