How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Rendclaw Trow.
2. When Rendclaw Trow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Vizier of Remedies.
3. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Rendclaw Trow into an endless engine of sacrifice and resurrection, entirely bypassing the natural limitation of its persist mechanic. Because Vizier of Remedies replaces the -1/-1 counter that would normally accompany the return with zero counters instead, the creature can persist indefinitely every time it hits the graveyard.
