How it works

1. Cast Welding Jar either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Welding Jar by sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Welding Jar from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the unassuming Welding Jar into an infinite engine by leveraging Mystic Forge to let you cast it directly from the top of your library for zero mana over and over again. Each time you cast the artifact, Showdown of the Skalds triggers its second and third lore chapters to feed a +1/+1 counter right back onto Arcbound Reclaimer. You then sacrifice Welding Jar to itself, allowing Arcbound Reclaimer to consume that newly minted counter and place the Jar right back on top of your library to restart the cycle.
