How it works

1. Cast Cryptic Trilobite either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0.
2. Cryptic Trilobite enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary triggers, putting Cryptic Trilobite on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns the zero-toughness quirk of Cryptic Trilobite into an endless cycle of rebirth by leaning on Mortuary's triggered ability to instantly return it from the graveyard to the top of your library whenever it hits the bin. With that top-deck placement sorted, Mystic Forge becomes the ultimate command center, letting you peer through the top of your library and immediately recast the Trilobite for free as a colorless artifact creature. Because Cryptic Trilobite enters the battlefield with no toughness when cast for zero mana, it immediately perishes to state-based actions, feeding Mortuary over and over to rack up infinite creature entering-the-battlefield triggers, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, deaths, and storm count.
